Charlie Miller inducted in to El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame

Charlie Miller was inducted in to the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame on June 28.

Charlie’s officiating career begin in August 1974 at the University of Texas at El Paso, when he was 17. What started as a work study job with the Intramural Department and ended up become a 49-year career that has taken him to the middle school to collegiate ranks.

He has been a member of the El Paso Basketball Association of Officials since 1974. He also joined the El Paso Volleyball Officials Association the same year.

His many accomplishments in officiating volleyball include four UIL Texas State Volleyball Championship appearances.

He has also officiated many regional basketball tournament games and bi-district championships.

He is more than ready for season number 50!
